SummitMadness Everest Base Camp Expedition has been successfully dispatched in December 2016. The key objective of this Everest Base Camp project was to expose an amateur Sri Lankan team into Himalayan high altitudes and to open up the opportunity for them to become international mountaineers. SummitMadness believes that this will create more positive attitude and awareness among fellow Sri Lankan mountaineers to break their barriers and to come forward as international mountaineers.
In parellel to this, the team has joined hands together with TrailSL (A Sri Lankan charity fund) to build cancer awareness in Sri Lanka and to support them reach their goal of raising USD 5 million to establish a new cancer treatment facility in Galle, Sri Lanka.
